NEW DOWNLOADS FROM THE GLASS HAMMER STUDIO

Introducing The VERGE:  Featuring Steve Babb (bass), Fred Schendel (keyboards and percussion), along with long-time friend David Carter (guitar) and lead vocalist (and Culture of Ascent co-producer) Robert Streets.

The Porpoise Song:  Sounds like a strange combination – written by Carole King, originally recorded by The Monkees, now covered by members of a prog-rock group.  When you hear it, we think you’ll understand!

All In The Past:  Asked to come up with a track for the DVD release of “Witchblade” that sounded like a progressive rock group from the 70’s – and given 48 hours to write, record, mix and upload it for approval – Fred, Steve and vocalist Robert Streets did just that.

Glass Hammer - Two Unreleased Tracks from 2007:

Eiger Dreams:  Jon Krakauer not only wrote “Into Thin Air” and inspired a GH epic of the same name, he wrote “Eiger Dreams” which became the muse for this previously unreleased instrumental.  If you saw GH perform live in October of 06 then you’ve heard this track; it was the opening number.  Featuring Steve on bass and keys, Fred on keys, David Wallimann at his guitar-shredding best, a barely-restrained Matt Mendians on drums, and backup vocals by Bethany Warren – “Eiger Dreams” is a must have for fans of Culture of Ascent.

Forum Troll:  This is only version one of “Forum Troll”, featuring David Wallimann, Steve Babb, Matt Mendians, Tim Starnes (harmonica), Landis Batts (vocal overdubs) and Smith Curry (lap steel) of Kid Rock fame. Musically, Steve says this one is inspired by Black Sabbath, Cream and Sleep.  There is no lead vocal track in place as of yet, but he promises there are lyrics and the possibility of a 'version two' somewhere in the future.

Lex Live:

Chronotheme, Tales, One King, Further Up, Cup of Trembling and the rest.  This is the audio from the first Glass Hammer DVD.  We’ll spare you the hyperbole (stellar, phenominal, world-class, etc.).  Just download and enjoy the show!
